Podcast episodes from the Midwest Clinic

The 75th annual Midwest Clinic took place last week after a 1 year face-to-face hiatus and it did not disappoint. There were so many fantastic sessions and top-notch concerts this year and it was a special treat to get to visit and reunite with so many friends and colleagues!

Even though my schedule was filled with attending the events and visiting the exhibit hall, I was able to record two short podcasts with two amazing people.

First, I interviewed Anna Radspinner, an orchestra director in the Williamsport Area School District in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. She presented a session entitled “Hindsight Is 20/20: A Vision To Build a Stronger Beginner String Foundation.” She discusses getting through the pandemic, what she learned, and how she is moving forward.

Next, I had lunch with and interviewed Jason Heath, who is a product manager with Eastman Stringed Instrument Company. We discussed the new Eastman “plus” line – traditional stringed instruments with a pickup built in and some of the unique features of these instruments. You’ll definitely want to check them out!
